In Customer Project Execution (CPX) we have assigned teams of highly skilled Quality Inspectors, ready to contribute and support our projects offshore globally. Our Quality Inspectors are trained quality professionals supporting activities offshore, working on some of the largest wind farm projects in the world. We play a key role in delivering high quality products to our customers, working in partnerships with key stakeholders where our safety and quality mindset is key to our results
Responsibilities
As a Quality inspector you will be part of the offshore project site management team, with whom you will work closely in getting the Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) from installation, commissioning and into operation and transferring control to the service department. You must take all necessary actions to comply with Vestas' safety and quality standards. You will collaborate with several members of the project team, including client representatives participating in all quality tasks and. You are responsible to conduct your work scope safely and promptly. Meticulously coordinate and collaborate with various departments to ensure that all customer requirements are met and surpassed.
Furthermore, your tasks will include:
- Plan and conduct component inspections
- Coordinate quality scope with project team to meet customer WTG requirements
- Identify, describe, register and report non-conformities
- Data handling and data processing
- Review, approve and document inspection reports
- Coordinate quality improvements across Vestas' value chain
- Participate in audits in accordance with quality specifications
- Inspection of incoming deliveries to site on specified components e.g., nacelles, towers, and blades
- Ensure a safe work environment by acting in compliance with Vestas' HSE requirements
- Support the quality culture within construction
Qualifications
- Good understanding of ISO9001 and ISO14001
- Education in renewable energy
Competencies
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Able to produce documentation to a high standard
- Can demonstrate good leadership skills
- Possess a safety and quality mindset
- Firsthand approach and focused on continuous improvement
- Previous IT experience
- Desired experience with electrical, mechanical and hydraulic diagrams
- Knowledge of reading and understanding work instructions are desired
- WTG experience is desired
