APAC Supply Chain Planning & Transport Solutions

The APAC Supply Chain Planning & Transport Solutions team is responsible for enabling strong and executable project solutions across the region. The team partners closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Transport, and Project Execution functions to develop cost-effective, risk-balanced, and scalable supply chain and logistics strategies for wind energy projects.

The department plays a critical role in supporting project bidding, portfolio planning, localization initiatives, transport optimization, and supply chain readiness. Through data-driven analysis and cross-functional collaboration, the team ensures informed decision-making, cost competitiveness, and timely project delivery while supporting Vestas' growth ambitions across Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, India, and Southeast Asia.

Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and maintain transport budgeting and planning in close collaboration with Supply Chain departments and other Vestas functions, ensuring competitive cost alignment with project strategy and business constraints.
  • Support the development of data driven solutions for cost benchmarking, transport optimization, and scenario evaluation.
  • Identify, document, and implement lessons learned from previous projects while aligning commercial requirements and risk assessments during the sales phase.
  • Perform reporting, analysis, and evaluation of budgeted versus actual transport costs to support cost optimization, project profitability, and competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across regions to further develop and enhance the in house transport budget model.
  • Support the development of tools for capturing market insights, project risks, and mitigation plans for ongoing and future projects.
  • Assess transport scope, commercial terms, and conditions during contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with internal norms, governance frameworks, and guidelines.

 

Qualifications

 

  •  Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, or business administration, combined with 1-2 years of finance or commercial experience, within the wind energy, transportation, infrastructure, or construction industry.
  • Experience working on the commercial side of cost preparation for large and complex projects, with the ability to clearly articulate commercial and budgetary impacts.
  • Solid understanding of the technical aspects of complex products, with the ability to translate technical knowledge into a commercial and financial context.
