Join us in this role where you’ll apply your technical expertise to enhance the reliability of the wind farms. You’ll leverage your skills to optimize asset performance and coordinate potential solutions with the team. In this position, you’ll also provide technical support within the local setup and collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders. 

 

Safety First – Core Responsibility

  • Give the highest priority to safety at all times.
  • Strictly follow LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) procedures for every task without exception.
  • Fully comply with all site safety instructions, policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Actively participate in safety initiatives, including:
    • Incident and near-miss reporting
    • Operator safety audits
    • Safety equipment inspection
  • Identify, report, and drive corrective actions for any unsafe conditions or behaviors.

 

Operations & Maintenance Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and breakdown maintenance as assigned.
  • Ensure reliable operation and proper upkeep of:
    • Pooling Substation (PSS)
    • Internal Transmission Lines
    • RMUs (Ring Main Units)
    • WTG Switchgear
    • Backup Generators and associated BOP equipment
  • Maintain all equipment in clean, safe, and technically compliant condition aligned with engineering standards and procedures.

 

Technical & Functional Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in basic troubleshooting of:
    • Substation equipment
    • Switchgear
    • RMUs
    • Internal transmission systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings related to Grid and PSS systems.
  • Understand equipment functionality and interdependencies across BOP systems.

 

Documentation & Reporting (Daily Discipline Required)

Ensure accurate and timely updates of the following on a daily basis, with proper supporting data:

  • Permit to Work (PTW)
  • PSS Operation & Monitoring Checklist
  • Grid Availability Data
  • Working Time Entry
  • Material and Spare Inventory

Additionally:

  • Prepare BOP equipment scheduled service task lists
  • Maintain and update critical spares lists

 

Execution & Coordination

  • Supervise scheduled service activities for BOP equipment.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors for breakdown maintenance activities.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are executed safely and efficiently.

 

Monitoring & Escalation

  • Monitor and promptly communicate any deviations or abnormalities in:
    • PSS
    • RMUs
    • Internal transmission lines
  • Escalate issues that may impact performance to the concerned in-charges without delay.

 

Operational Discipline

  • Ensure regular work log entries and condition monitoring by operators.
  • Verify that all personnel are consistently using and maintaining proper PPE.
  • Promote a strong culture of accountability, safety awareness, and operational excellence.

 

Requirements:

  • Have knowledge on local Grid compliances - NGCP.
  • Safety regulations related to Grid systems in Philippines.
  • Previous work experience in operation and maintenance of Pooling substations, RMU and Internal transmission lines.
  • Basic reports preparation related to BOP equipments
  • Basic Team leader skills to coordinate with sub contractor, Customer and Vestas staff.
  • Engineering, science or industry experience in a technical role
  • Experience working on contracts for energy projects (batteries, onshore and offshore wind, solar, peaking plants, interconnectors/HVDC, thermal power generation)
