Work to the highest safety and environmental standards whilst ensuring that service targets are met

Compliance to VESTAS Health and Safety Management system

 

Carry out periodic service inspections in accordance with Vestas' specifications alongside both electrical, mechanical, and hydraulics component replacement and troubleshooting

 

Responsibilities

  • Undertake scheduled service and reactive maintenance as required
  • Respond and attend site outside normal working hours to undertake reactive maintenance
  • Maintain all company vehicles and keep plant equipment in good clean condition
  • Ensuring that each task is undertaken in a manner that ensures the safety of personnel, protects the environment, and work methods are followed at all times
  • Undertake the site induction
  • Undertake the requirements of the SMA (Service Maintenance Agreement)
  • Complying with the duty of care assigned under OH&S legislation and demonstrate commitment to accident prevention
  • Observing all work instructions, procedures, safety codes of practice, employer OH&S and Environmental requirements and statutory rules and regulations
  • Wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment as required
  • Participate in safety, toolbox or other meetings where required
  • All other duties within ability, skill, qualifications and experience as directed

 

Qualifications

  • Vestas Wind Turbines experience is must - 5 years
  • Electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic experience accompanied by a motivation to develop your skills further within these fields
  • Good computer skills
  • Experienced in handling different tools or systems to monitor work and documentation
  • Able to communicate and read in English
  • Valid driver's license

  • A significant understanding of and commitment to the highest standard of health and safety in the work environment
  • Ability to climb a wind turbine and perform tough physical work in heights as well as in various weather conditions
  • Open to travel to other sites when required
  • Enjoy working in teams and communicating with numerous stakeholders; you will work closely with others in the field but also connect with the wider business
  • Solutions-oriented, able to manage your own workload, and well organized in your work
