Job Title: Quality Engineer

Location(s); Windsor, CO

Salary: $80 -105k based on relevant experience.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

•             Lead, define, and implement quality KPIs strategic, coaching, and business support.

•             Proactively identifies and develops and implements appropriate approaches, processes and tools.

•             Lead coordination (local/global) for CoPQ Strategic Deployment activities

•             Experience with RCA, 8D and using Quality tools

•             Review/analyze data (CTQs, Customer NCs) to prioritize improvement activities in the factories.

•             Coordinate across value chain to support Mfg defects in the field.

•             Review/update local PFMEAs and control plans with factories.

•             Tale regional lead/representation in QBD escalation

•             Confirm CTQ performance and QSEN implementation; support when issues arise.

•             Prepare internal audit plan and confirm completion of reporting and closure of corrective actions.

•             Participate in external audits (DNV, ISO, VDA, etc) and internal audits (Layered Process Audits, Q Walks)

•             Audit the NC Management/Case-handling system.

•             Provide technical support/training (CTQ and QDA systems)

•             Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.

•             Collaborates with local QSE Management Teams to ensure compliance with authorities.

•             Analyses global trends in QSE events and implement preventative actions needed to adjust unfavourable trends.

•             Other duties as assigned.

 

Essential Functions:

•             will be required to see and hear alarms, timers and follow verbal instructions

•             will be required to wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the task

•             Ability to lift 35 lbs.

•             pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.

•             Ability to work in each production environment without restrictions

•             Flexibility to support to support different shifts

•             Regular and reliable attendance

Qualifications:

•             Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering or a similar technical field.  A minimum of 5 years of quality experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

•             Six sigma green belt or black belt certificate; lead auditor certification, and chemistry experience.

•             Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

•             Ability to extract, manipulate, and analyze product and process data via common databases, spread sheets, or analytical software. 

•             Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
