Maintenance Manager

The Maintenance Manager directs and manages the activities of the Maintenance department. They are responsible to plan and manage all activities of the Maintenance roadmap and processes, establish priorities, and coordinate activities to ensure optimal performance of the facility and related tools.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee maintenance operations in a large, complex manufacturing environment with 24/7 production, ensuring equipment reliability, uptime, and cross-department coordination.
  • Manage and develop maintenance teams, including Team Leaders and Planners, through hiring, training, performance management, and compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Coordinate with Technical Services and other departments on CAPEX projects, facility upgrades, and expansion initiatives, including capital budgeting and forecasting.
  • Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs (TPM), ensuring effective use of EAM systems for planning, work orders, reporting, and performance measurement (OEE).
  • Manage service contracts, OEM relationships, and supplier agreements to optimize cost, uptime, and asset performance; ensure regulatory compliance and environmental, health, and safety standards are met.
  • Oversee maintenance inventory, tooling, and spare parts management, including consignment and leasing programs to support production goals.
  • Support facility safety systems (fire suppression, alarms, and ERT coordination) and contribute to long-term maintenance and equipment strategies to meet production and business objectives.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related discipline).
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience in manufacturing or industrial environments, including TPM, predictive maintenance, and financial/KPI management (OEE methodology).
  • Experienced leadership in large, complex organizations with 24/7 operations, managing teams and ensuring uptime across multiple shifts.
  • Proficient in problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and project management skills, including budgeting for capital projects and implementing change initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategies for equipment reliability, service contracts, and performance optimization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel) and Microsoft Project; ability to read and interpret schematics, 3D CAD drawings, and technical documents.
  • Capable of efficiently organizing own workload, coaching teams toward performance goals, and collaborating effectively across functions in a structured environment.

Salary Range: $100K - $130K
