Plant Operations is a part of Service NCE (Northern & Central Europe) and supports the organization in installation and service of a great number of SCADA systems controlling medium and large sized wind power plants. We work in a modularized setup where you will be a part of a project team and contribute to the process within your area of expertise. Our job is to turn a cluster of wind turbines into a power plant according to contractual and regional requirements. Our customers can mainly be found among larger power supply companies and professional investors.

Responsibilities:

 

As a SCADA Engineer in the Environmental Control Team you will configure and troubleshoot environmental control systems such as e.g. ice control, shadow flicker, bat protection and aviation light control. Furthermore, you will be a part of a team, responsible for commissioning and maintaining Vestas SCADA solutions, and other automated functionalities in our power plants, based on Vestas standards and customer requirements. You ensure knowledge transfer and contributes in optimizing and improving our product solutions.


Main tasks:
• Configuration and commissioning of systems to fulfil environmental requirements regarding e.g. ice protection, shadow flicker, bat protection and aviation light.
• Configuration and parametrization of server and network monitoring systems
• SCADA systems troubleshooting
• SCADA systems upgrades and support for After Sales projects
• Parametrization and commissioning of control systems of wind power plants to fulfil regional requirements
• Technical documentation
• Remote commissioning and testing
• Participate in development and improvements projects to increase product efficiency and improve customer satisfaction

 

Qualifications:

 

This position is all about technical support. We're looking for someone who wants to use his/her technical expertise as a platform for creating great implementations and support experiences for our customers.


• Engineering degree (e.g. automation, IT, software engineering, telecommunications)
• Experience with SCADA systems, software development, PLC programming, automation
• SQL Experience
• Knowledge and experience of computer networks and their configuration
• Professional English skills, both verbally and in writing
• Experience with server and network monitoring systems would be appreciated
• Experience on communication protocols (MODBUS, OPC) would be appreciated
• Industrial electrical and electronics knowledge would be appreciated

The minimum salary is currently 46.781,00€ yearly . The amount stated might not represent the actual salary for the position offered here.
