Vestas Technology & Operations (VTO) is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. Within VTO, you'll find our department, Nacelles NCE Region, as part of Supplier Quality & Development NCE.
At Supplier Quality & Development (SQ&D) NCE, the team is tasked with coordinating SQ&D activities while prioritizing quality, safety, and environmental standards. The team ensures that category strategies are developed and delivered in alignment with Vestas’s established standards and processes, without compromise.
A key responsibility of SQ&D NCE is the strategic and operational development of key suppliers within the region. This includes conducting audits and supplier assessments to evaluate compliance, performance, and areas for improvement.
Additionally, the team handles Quality, Safety, and Environment (QSE) improvement projects to promote higher supplier performance. By enforcing a zero-incident approach and consistently working to reduce non-conformities, SQ&D NCE contributes to a more reliable and sustainable supply chain.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the quality of selected production material groups used in Vestas by assessing, developing, and qualifying suppliers
- Oversee component qualification processes using Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and APQP4Wind methodologies
- Support NC coordinators in handling transactional clarifications of non-conformities. Address advanced NC situations by utilizing analytical skills to identify root causes and reduce the Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ)
- Work closely with developers, sourcing teams, logistics, and factory operations to ensure seamless quality management across the supply chain
- Manage supplier relationships and coordinate with external stakeholders, including customers conducting inspections and audits at supplier sites within the NCE region
Qualifications
- Background in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or a related field. However, extensive experience in quality management and problem-solving may substitute for formal education
- Minimum 3 years of experience in quality assurance and supplier management
- Proficiency in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodology; experience with APQP4Wind is beneficial
- Certified ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor or VDA 6.3 Assessor
- Familiarity with ISO 14001 / 45001 or similar EHS Management Systems
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification, with practical experience in Continuous Improvement and DMAIC practices
- Fluency in spoken and written English

The primary work location for this role is our office in Warsaw or Szczecin in Poland.
Up to 100 days of travel per year.
