Manufacturing and Global Procurement>COO NCE>Warsaw
This position is part of the Supplier Quality & Development in Vestas NCE region, which coordinates SQ&D activities and ensures the highest focus on quality, safety and environment when developing and implementing the different category strategies while not compromising on Vestas's standards and processes. We are ambassadors of all quality topics with suppliers, e.g. enabling supplier innovation in new blade development projects, thus propelling Vestas' innovative sustainability strategy.

 

Responsibilities 
•    Ensure quality from suppliers for select production material groups used in Vestas. The responsibilities range from assessment and development of suppliers to component qualification with PPAP and APQP4wind. 
•    We are being supported on the transactional clarification of non-conformities by NC coordinators and step in on escalated NC with our problem-solving experience to eliminate the root cause and driver down Cost of Poor

 

Quality
•    Interface internally to the developers, sourcing and logistics as well as our internal customers, the factories. 
•    In addition to overseeing the supplier, our external contact includes customers conducting inspections or audits at our suppliers.

 

Qualifications 
•    An engineering or material science background as well as proficiency in applying advanced quality methodology. 
•    Solid working experience with demonstrated quality management and problem-solving skills can replace the need for a formal education.
•    3 years of experience within quality assurance and supplier management and are proficient in applying Advanced Quality methodology (PPAP, Process analysis, Statistical studies, Problem solving techniques, ...), ideally have experience with APQP4Wind
•    Are an internal auditor ISO 9001:2015 assessor for VDA 6.3 with experience with ISO 14001 / 45001 or similar standard for EHS Management Systems is desired.
•    Are a Six Sigma Green Belt with Continuous improvement and DMAIC practice and have experience with stakeholder management as well as sound business understanding
•    Thrive in a cross-cultural, international, and diverse environment
•    Are fluent in spoken and written English

Position Location – Warsaw Poland with up to 75 days of travel
