This position (m/f/d) is part of the Supplier Quality & Development in Vestas NCE region, which coordinates SQ&D activities and ensures the highest focus on quality, safety and environment when developing and carrying out the different category strategies while not compromising on Vestas's standards and processes.


The key task of this role (m/f/d) is to deploy strategic and operational development of key suppliers in Northern and Central Europe by performing audits, supplier assessments and innovating QSE improvement projects to enforce high supplier performance, zero incidents and reduce the number of non-conformities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Deploy the Vestas Quality, Safety and Environment Strategy towards external suppliers under Indirect categories as transport contractors
  • Supervise supplier quality, capability, and performance topics on behalf and in compliance with regional & global strategy
  • Implement new markets entry strategy & new supplier onboarding ensuring Vestas processes are followed
  • Secure agreement with regional QHSE & Construction team for completion of supplier improvement activities.
  • Direct QSE activities in cases of non-quality performance and incidents with suppliers in line with Vestas requirements
  • Direct Supplier Business Review Meetings with cross-functional participation
  • Ensure that relevant QSE agreements with suppliers are in place
  • Guide and conduct supplier development projects and supplier local initiatives, conduct QHSE audits and prepare-present executive reports

 

Qualifications           

  • Master's or bachelor's degree in engineering
  • 5+ years hands-on experience in similar role (m/f/d) with supplier management, safety & quality focus
  • Experience with supplier management and defining improvement projects in quality, process, and safety area
  • Experience in oil& gas, offshore, transport business
  • Certified auditor/ lead auditor ISO, other standards and relevant quality-safety certifications will be beneficial

 

Competencies

  • Significant project management skills with the ability to guide complex development projects across the organization
  • Competency in data analytics and effective problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills, oral and written, skilled meeting facilitator with the ability to work effectively -with diverse stakeholders within an international, innovative & cross-functional environment
  • Innovative personality, independent learning & critical thinking skills - ability to identify and deliver actionable solutions to complex problems
  • Fluency in English

Additional information
Main job location is in Hamburg, Germany, optionally in Warsaw, Poland.
Expected travel in range of 20-30%.
