This position is part of the Supplier Quality & Development in Vestas NCE region, which coordinates SQ&D activities and ensures the highest focus on quality, safety, and environment when developing and delivering the different category strategies while not compromising Vestas's standards and processes. The critical task is to deploy strategic and operational development of critical suppliers in the NCE region by performing audits, supplier assessments, and key QSE improvement projects to enforce high supplier performance, zero incidents, and reduced non-conformities. 

 

Responsibilities 

In this role, you will deploy the Vestas Quality, Safety and Environment Strategy towards external suppliers under the Indirect category - Capex & Tools. Further tasks and responsibilities include: 

  • Facilitate supplier quality, capability, and performance topics on behalf of and in compliance with regional & global strategy 

  • Implement new market entry strategy & new supplier onboarding, ensuring Vestas processes are followed 

  • Secure agreement with regional QHSE & Construction team for completion of supplier improvement activities 

  • Guide QSE activities in cases of non-quality performance and incidents with suppliers in line with Vestas requirements 

  • Facilitate Supplier Business Review Meetings with cross-functional participation 

  • Develop and conduct supplier development projects and supplier local initiatives conduct 

  • QHSE audits, prepares, and presents executive reports 

  • Frequent travel and extended stays for work are integral parts of this position, comprising approximately 60-70% of the job. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering 

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in similar positions with supplier management, safety & quality focus 

  • Experience with supplier management and driving improvement projects in quality, process, and safety areas 

  • Previous experience working in wind, mechanical or Heavy manufacturing manufacturing, is required 

  • Certified auditor/lead auditor ISO, other standards, and relevant quality-safety certifications will be advantageous 

 

Competencies 

  • Comprehensive project management skills with the ability to deliver on complex development projects across the organization 

  • Competency in data analytics and good problem-solving skills 

  • Good communication skills, oral and written, and a strong meeting facilitator with the ability to work effectively -with diverse stakeholders within an international, diverse & cross-functional environment 

  • Motivated, independent learning & critical thinking skills, combined with the ability to identify and deliver actionable solutions to complex problems 

  • Fluency in English
