Be responsible for delivering one of the most exciting offshore wind portfolios in the NCE region. We’re looking for a Lead Project Manager based in Warsaw to execute a rapidly expanding and strategically important project pipeline. You’ll collaborate with global teams while leading complex, large-scale projects from planning to completion. For highly qualified candidates, this role can be elevated to a Senior Project Manager position, offering even greater responsibility and influence within Vestas.

Vestas is an international, fast‑growing organisation seeking an experienced Project Manager to help our continued success. Within Global Offshore Project Execution, we oversee all aspects of project management, execution, and construction for offshore wind projects across the world.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full offshore wind project lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery on time, within budget, and to agreed scope, safety, and quality standards
  • Oversee all execution activities from contract signature through site completion, operational readiness, and handover to Service
  • Build and manages a fit‑for‑purpose project organisation aligned with Vestas’ standard structure, ensuring effective coordination across customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Oversee daily project governance, including planning, progress tracking, performance management, and preventive risk mitigation
  • Ensure compliance with Vestas project management systems, HSE requirements, and quality standards while encouraging continuous improvement within the team
  • Manage subcontractor performance, resource allocation, and collaboration to maintain a productive and integrated project environment
  • Act as either overall Project Manager or Deputy Project Manager depending on pipeline and profile, capable of stepping into full leadership responsibility when required

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (civil, construction, mechanical, electrical, wind energy) or a related technical discipline
  • 3–5+ years of project management experience in construction or other capital project environments (offshore wind experience is an advantage)
  • Professional project management certification (PMP, IPMA, PRINCE2 or equivalent)
  • Solid understanding of power generation concepts, terminology, and industry practices
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within cross‑functional and global teams
  • Commitment to high ethical standards, integrity, and professional conduct
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and fluent in English

Additional information

The preferred location for this role is Warsaw, Poland.

Aarhus or Copenhagen in Denmark may be considered as alternative locations.

This role involves regular travel, up to 80 days per year, typically averaging a trip every two weeks for one to two nights.
