In our department People Resource Management (PRM) we are excited to have a committed team of highly professional site assistants, ready to support our projects with ad hoc assignments in Europe and beyond. Our site assistants work on activities in pre-assembly, installation, commissioning both on and offshore, supporting some of the largest wind farm projects in the world. As Team leader for On- & Offshore Site Support you will be part of the on-site teams.  You must take all necessary actions to comply with Vestas' safety and quality standards along with local country standards.

  • Set up relevant site offices and procedures, where required mobilise vessels/cabin plans source local venders, create and maintain site check list
  • Plan accommodation for project team
  • Request IT infrastructure
  • Stakeholder management
  • Various administrative tasks – Approve allowance, approve travel expenses, supporting Site Assistants.
  • Travel to project sites and support where required
  • Demobilize project ensuring all tasks are carried out successfully in a safe and timely manner.


Furthermore, your tasks will include:

  • Responsible for management of and developing direct reports and overall team performance
  • Motivate employees and secure work-life balance
  • Hiring, training, and developing Site Assistants
  • Responsible for allocation of qualified, engaged, and motivated team of Site Assistants to ensure the correct competencies are allocated to projects as per project requirements
  • Responsible for Team and Site Budgets
  • Lead, develop and manage the site office concept in relation to sites/office setups (onshore & offshore)
  • Administration, SAP, documentation, guidelines and on the job training for site assistants.
  • Support purchasing in assuring project purchases are made in alignment with purchase strategy.
  • Act as interface between Construction and IT Support in the mobilization of IT infrastructure.
  • Provide general support to site administration during project execution
  • Ensure trained resources for project execution according to Vestas and country specific demands
  • People management - Conducting regular 1:1 meetings and individual development plans with Site Assistants
  • Forecasting of Site Assistants based on Project Pipeline
  • Budget responsible for cost center (time registration, travel, training costs etc. and follow-up)
  • Hiring and termination process of Site Assistants together with HR
  • Onboarding, training, and development plan for Site Assistants
  • Execution of HR processes - People Review, Merit, CPD dialogue
  • Performance evaluation of Site Assistants in coordination with internal stakeholders
  • Ensure close collaboration with project teams/site management to ensuring fulfillment of project demands with correct competencies, experience, and training.



  • Experienced user of MS Office applications
  • Experienced user of ERP systems, for example Microsoft Dynamics
  • Team Leader/Management experience
  • Distance management skills 
  • Fluent English language skills, verbal and written
  • Great organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good coordinating/planning skills
  • Ability to work with people of different national and cultural backgrounds
  • Ability to develop, lead and direct a team
  • Flexibility and the ability to work independently
  • Organised, proactive and team orientated
  • Ability to take on a leading role for various sub-projects in the construction phase.
