In Execution Quality, Integration & Excellence (EQIE) we are excited to have an incredible dedicated work force of highly competent supervisors, ready to support our projects and ad hoc assignments in Northern Central Europe and UK. Our supervisors work on activities in quality on-/offshore, supporting some of the largest wind farm projects in the world. They are exposed daily to large wind turbine components. This entails working on large scale components which requires a mindset of safety and excellent leadership skills. Region NCE > Customer Project Execution, NCE > Offshore Quality Inspectors

 

As a quality supervisor you will be part of the onshore project team, with whom you will work closely in getting the Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) from installation, commissioning and into operation. You must take all necessary actions to comply with Vestas' safety and quality standards. You will work with several members of the project team, including client representatives participating in all quality tasks. You are responsible for carrying out your work scope successfully in a safe and timely manner.


Responsibilities

  • Your tasks will include: 
  • Plan and conduct component inspections  
  • Coordinate quality scope with project team to meet customer WTG requirements while ensuring a safe work environment by acting in compliance with Vestas' HSE requirements
  • Identify, describe, register and report non-conformities  
  • Review, approve and document inspection reports 
  • Coordinate quality improvements across Vestas' value chain  
  • Inspection of incoming deliveries to site on specified components e.g., nacelles, towers, and blades 

 

Qualifications 

  • Good understanding of ISO9001 and ISO14001 is desirable
  • Education with wind turbine experience is desirable 
  • Solid English communications skills (verbal, effective listening, written, meeting management, presentation)

 

Competencies

  • Experience working with electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic diagrams are desired
  • WTG experience is desired
  • Can demonstrate leadership and delegation skills
  • Possess a health and safety mindset
  • Hands on approach and focused on continuous improvement
