Region NCE > SBU NCE Service > Performance Engineering NCE
Performance Engineering is a sub department of Service Operations NCE, which supports the On- and Offshore Service and Construction business with technical knowledge and acting as the link between engineering and the local service regions.The team consists of 12 team members, right now, expanding to 21 colleagues. The main area of support is improvement of the turbine performance, from an operational and technical point of view.
The primary location for this position is Warrington UK and other location are possible: Hamburg DE , Aarhus DK.

 

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing WTG performance, including Power Curve analysis (turbine performance data analysis)
  • Reviewing technical customer questions and reports, and providing answers and reports and presenting technical matters at customer meetings
  • Being the Link between VPS and Service and driving product improvements from a Service point of view
  • Providing direct support to service technicians in troubleshooting stopped turbines for repair tasks via phone / ticket or on site
  • Creating, updating and maintaining trouble shooting guides (VGAs) 
  • Ensure technical knowledge is shared within Technical Support and Service

 

Qualifications

  • Technical degree or Bachelors or Master's degree in the field of electrical or mechanical or marine engineering or equivalent
  • Very good English, both verbally and in writing
  • Technical background, with experience in data analytics, statistical analysis, and experience in tools such as Python, R, or similar
  • Knowledge of WTG control systems (VOB, Toolkit, VTM, etc.) will be counted as advantage 
  • Working experience from the wind industry will be counted as advantage

Additional information
Work location: Vestas' office in Warrington UK and other location are possible: Hamburg DE, Aarhus DK.
This position requires approximately 30 days of travel yearly.
