We are now looking for a Team Leader, for Planning to support our Service operation in UK and Ireland. 
The position will report to the Senior Manager Operations, with responsibility for delivering on our 
planning/scheduling situations within planned timeframes and agreed costs. As Team Leader you will be 
responsible for developing the team to meet the demands of an ever-changing and growing company.

 

Sales > SBU NCE > Service Region Celtic, UK/Ireland

 

Operating within the Vestas Northern & Central Europe business unit, we focus exclusively on selling, 
constructing, and operating onshore wind power plants in UK and Ireland. With main offices in Dublin and 
Warrington, Service UK and Ireland is responsible for the service and maintenance of our customers' wind power 
plants in both markets.

 

Together with our colleagues throughout Vestas, we handle some of the largest operational projects, for 
some of the most complex customers in Europe.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safety & quality standards and processes are maintained.
  • Deliver forecast and planning with focus on cost and efficiency to support daily operational and turbine performance
  • Team Leader for planning Group across UK & Ireland
  • Ensure your team delivers to set goals and KPIs
  • Ensure your team creates a cost-effective work plan based on agreements and obligations to our customers
  • Optimal utilization and balancing of resources across the business unit in the field
  • Drive compliance to the established process & strategy
  • Develop and improve the planning process.
  • Develop the skills and competencies necessary for the organisation at local level in line with operations strategy.
  • Continually implement change management in line with operations development

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience in leadership and people management
  • Experience in change management, improvement processes such as LEAN and optimization projects
  • Experience working with several different stakeholders at different levels of the organisation
  • Great communication skills - ability to network and build relations
  • Proficiency with the entire Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
  • Experience with SAP or Sales Force is a distinct advantage
