As a member of UK HSE team, you will be a part of the Vestas journey towards HSE excellence, leading and driving initiatives that lower our risk profile and reduce the number of work-related injuries to zero.

 

Responsibilities 
•    Provide HSE support to site teams throughout the planning, preparation and execution stages of projects. 
•    Prepare and carry out toolbox talks, internal and external HSE inspections, report and investigate incidents and support the management team in handling these incidents and taking the necessary corrective/preventive actions.
•    Collect, validate, report, and respond to HSE data and ensure compliance with HSE legislation. 
•    Review and revise documents in support of the HSE Management System.
•    Ensure close collaboration with our customers and other stakeholders on all HSE related matters.
•    Support and advise local management on potential improvements and areas of increased risk. 
•    Continuously review the Vestas Safe System of Work in order to support the continual improvement cycle.

 

Qualifications 
•    You will be an experienced HSE professional and are passionate about both HSE and the offshore renewables industry.
•    Hold a relevant qualification within HSE. (minimum NEBOSH General Certificate or international equivalent)
•    Have at least 2 years experience from a similar HSE role within wind power/energy in maritime/offshore environment.
•    Have experience of drafting and reviewing HSE policies, procedures and processes.
•    Have good IT skills, especially Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to quickly understand and adapt to new systems.
•    Have knowledge of Risk Assessment practices and the implementation of appropriate control processes.

 

Competencies
•    You understand UK HSE law and are able to interpret legislation wording, in order to apply this to our business activities.
•    You must have a good understanding of English (written and verbal) and be a skilled communicator.
•    Are enthusiastic and can work with limited supervision.
•    Have a structured work style.
•    You are someone who is able to coach teams to create an improved safety culture rather than just impose safety rules.

Additional Information

 

Primary Location – Moray East offshore wind farm. The role is rotational, comprising of two weeks on, two weeks off.
