Operating within the Northern Europe business units of Vestas Wind Systems A/S, Vestas Celtic Wind Technology Ltd focuses exclusively on selling, constructing, and operating onshore wind power plants in UK and Ireland. With offices in Warrington and Dublin, the Service Department looks after the servicing and maintenance of wind turbines in the UK and Ireland.

Responsibilities
The position of Customer Technical Agent works with a team of Agents, Engineers and Customer Managers. This role will empower you to own and maintain the Technical and Operational relationship with a wide range of Customers from large-scale complex Utility companies to independent developers and infrastructure investment funds.
Your scope of work will be:

  • Owning, coordinating and resolving customer issues in a systematic way, as well as building and maintaining relationships with customer representatives
  • Providing first-line technical support to customers and be the prime interface between customers and Technical Support and Engineering departments to understand and resolve technical issues and queries
  • Leading routine customer operational and technical calls & attend business reviews as required
  • Working together and communicating effectively with all departments, in order to maintain a good level of interaction with the field and within the office to quickly inform and advise customers of all service operations; plan changes, delays and overruns; safety and environmental issues, etc.
  • Actively seeking and identifying new aftermarket sales opportunities and to win and transact business.
  • Owning and delivering the projects that improve the efficiency of the team, improving the business and the Customer experience.

 
Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing position, customer service, or technical support
  • Familiarity with wind turbines or rotating machinery, plant, processes, or systems
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office package, Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP (Salesforce skills are a beneficial asset but not essential)
  • Fluency in English
