SCADA Operations is part of the Service Business Unit NCE (Northern & Central Europe) and supports the organization in selling, installing and servicing a large number of SCADA systems controlling medium and large sized wind power plants. Our customers can mainly be found among larger power supply companies and professional investors.

Responsibilities

As a SCADA Engineer / Automation Engineer (f/m/d) you will be responsible for implementing power control concepts, local options, and other automated functionalities in power plants based on Vestas standards and customer specific requirements. You ensure knowledge transfer as well as all kind of solutions around our SCADA products to resolve issues/projects with moderate complexity. Your geographical scope is NCE, but you’re primarily focused on tasks in Central-Europe.

  • Engineering of power plant control software to meet the site-specific requirements
  • Support the SCADA project from kick-off to commissioning
  • SCADA system setup and verification
  • Programming PLC
  • Technical documentation
  • Remote commissioning and support
  • Fault finding

Qualifications

This position is all about technical support. We’re looking for someone who wants to use his/her technical expertise as a platform for creating great implementations for our customers.

  • Engineer degree, preferably electronics, IT or telecommunications
  • Experience in PLC programing, automation or with SCADA systems
  • Industrial electricity and electronics knowledge would be appreciated
  • Experience on communication (MODBUS, DNP, OPC)
  • Knowledge and experience of computer networks and their configuration
  • Strong English skills, both in speech and writing; German is a plus

Additional information

Primary work location would be Vienna, Austria.

Travelling activities around 10 % will be expected.
