Region NCE > SBU NCE Service > Plant Technical Support NCE


Plant Technical Support NCE is a sub department of Technical Support NCE, which support the Service business in whole Northern and Central Europe with technical knowledge and acting as the link between Engineering and these local business units. 
Main tasks for the department include providing direct support to service technicians in troubleshooting and repair tasks, remote troubleshooting in Power Plant Controllers and SCADA solutions remotely, remote software upload, creating work instructions, providing answers to technical questions from internal and external customers, and taking part in customer meetings. 
Providing high quality plant technical support Service organizations in the NCE region to reduce windfarm downtime and enhance performance.
Being a part of Plant Technical Support NCE, you will be included in a high experience and dedicated team, taking leadership for implementing Vestas' strategy, supporting the Service organizations and local business units with technical knowledge, secure customer focus and safety.
 
Responsibilities
As a Specialist in SCADA you can expect to undertake a wide range of different tasks, including but not limited to stakeholder management and technical tasks:

  • Advance the further development of offshore wind facilities in collaboration with appropriate collaborators
  • Host regular training sessions for engineers on problem-solving techniques related to SCADA systems
  • Participating in Customer Meetings by being SME on technical issues, ensuring solutions cohering with Vestas Process, orchestrating support from engineers accordingly, and describing actions in a clear and concise manner
  • Play a vital role in product and solution integration with a project management perspective
  • Handle improvement projects within the business unit, either derived from the global strategy, defined by regional operational needs or to support cross-functional initiatives


Qualifications
We envision that you hold the following professional qualifications, as we deem the essential to undertake the responsibilities:

  • A relevant technical education, within Automation, IT, Software, or other relevant engineering areas
  • Professional background as Project Engineer or Project Manager, SCADA Engineer or similar. Most important is that you have long-term experience with SCADA
  • High professional competencies in English both verbal and written
  • Experience with Project Management work and PM certification
  • Experience from the Wind industry

Additional information
Location: Videbæk or Aarhus, Denmark; Malmö, Sweden; Hamburg, Husum, or Berlin, Germany; Arnhem, Netherland; Warrington, UK.
Travel days: 45 days annually.
Start date: August 15th, 2024, but we are willing to be reach an agreement that suit your needs.
