Plant Operations is part of NCE (Northern & Central Europe) and provides support to the organization in the installation and servicing of numerous SCADA systems, managing medium to large-scale wind power plants. Our mission is to transform a group of wind turbines into a fully operational power plant that meets contractual and regional specifications.
Our primary customers include major power utility companies and professional investors.
Responsibilities:
As a member of our Pre-Configuration department, you will be responsible for testing and configuring SCADA servers, routers, Power Plant Controllers, and other hardware in our Factory Acceptance Test locations. The equipment is tested here before it is shipped to a Power Plant somewhere in Northern/Central Europe. You will be following standardized processes and checklists, ensuring that the systems meet our quality standards.
- Taking ownership of solving specific technical issues in corporation with development team, internal colleagues etc. using the available process in Vestas
- Acting as a backend support to colleagues within the area of expertise
- Participating in strategic projects within the technical field of expertise
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates who have a background in Information Technology, Automation or Telecommunications. You should have experience working in industrial server environments, troubleshooting networks, databases, software and hardware.
Technical Expertise:
- Experience working with Linux and Windows server environments.
- Hands-on experience with VMware virtualization technologies.
- Hands-on work with hardware.
- Proficiency in database management and operations.
- It would be an advantage if you have familiarity with SCADA systems, however this is not a requirement
Competencies:
- Professional English skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. We are looking for someone with a curiosity for solving technical challenges and a passion for quality.
- Strong motivation to learn and build own competencies
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments as required
- A valid driver's license is required, and a truck certification would be considered an advantage.
