The Service Department, responsible for the smooth operation of its customers' wind farms, is looking for a Team Leader that will be responsible for optimizing the performance of machines throughout their life cycle, ensuring that wind turbines run at their maximum capacity and provide the best energy efficiency for our clients. The Service department has a very important role in order to develop customer loyalty on a long term.


Responsibilities 
You are the back-up of the Operations Manager in all maintenance operations. Your main tasks will be : 

  • Follow up of maintenance tasks. Supervise technicians in their day-to-day activities, in order to ensure compliance with standards for planned and preventive maintenance. 
  • Ensure that quality, costs and service delivery goals are met, based on the Service's needs and goals
  • Conduct audits following preventive maintenance actions
  • Support the operations manager in the management of "service order" (quality). 
  • Ensure compliance with safety rules, procedures and processes (work permits, forms, security alerts, etc.) 
  • Support on-site teams for troubleshooting or coordinate teams if required 
  • Support planning activities by setting priorities, identifying workforce and material required. (Weekly planning). 
  • Notify the planner of daily changes that may affect the planning. 
  • Track the technicians' performance and task execution to optimize operational costs. 
  • Maintain the internal database called Shadow Database. 
  • Identify problems, develop corrective actions and implement those actions with the Operations Manager.  
  • Provide training to technicians in technical areas, operational procedures and safety practices. 
  • Support and propose skill developments. 
  • Supervise and participate in complex operations: Main components changes, turbine improvement operations ("retrofits" according to Vestas terminology), commissioning, troubleshooting and other special tasks. 
  • Establish and maintain cordial and effective working relationships and be a model for other employees.

 
Qualifications

  • 5 years minimum experience in maintenance within Vestas.
  • Technical English required (written and oral), computer knowledge (Pack Office).

 
Competencies

  • Good internal and external communication, experience in Leadership, sense of "customer orientation" (business vision and knowledge of contracts)
  • Good commitment to the concept of safety in general and safety in the work environment
  • Good geographic mobility and flexibility
