Field Service Technician

The Service Department at Vestas ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of wind turbines. The team is responsible for scheduled, preventive and corrective maintenance, identifying and resolving issues, performance optimization, and supporting sustainable energy generation for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair, including fault analysis and corrective actions.
• Service and maintenance of wind turbine systems, covering planned, preventive, and corrective activities.
• High-quality daily reporting and service documentation in Salesforce and other Vestas systems.
• Efficient operation of turbines and adherence to Vestas processes, manuals, and work instructions.
• Responsibility for the service vehicle, warehouse, and ensuring availability of tools, materials, and spare parts.
• Customer communication regarding completed and upcoming service and repair activities.
• Compliance with Vestas LOTO, EHS standards, and associated policies and procedures.

Qualification

- Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering (or equivalent experience).

-Minimum 2-3 years of experience in maintenance, problem-solving, or service operations in the wind energy sector.

- Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

- Familiarity with SAP, technical documentation, and digital service platforms.

-Effective communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment.

- Ability to work at heights in varying weather conditions.

Competencies

-Experience or degree within electrical field, mechanics and hydraulics in accordance to local requirements and standards (local certifications)

- Demonstrate team attributes

- Ability to complete physically demanding tasks at heights

- Commitment to safety, high performance, continuous improvement and delivering the right solutions

- System user as the tasks include regular reporting and communication through various systems

- Good knowledge in local language and English

- Driving license
