You will be one of our most important resources and be responsible for service and maintenance of our wind farms.

Vestas Northern Europe (NEU) is a sales department covering Scandinavia, the United Kingdom, Poland, and the Baltic States. The Norwegian service department with headquarters in Trondheim is responsible for the service and maintenance of all Vestas' wind farms in Norway. The department has an open and informal culture where teamwork and good communication are the keys to our achievement

 

Area of responsibility
We are looking for five traveling technicians who are independent and solution-oriented.


Your responsibility will primarily be:

  • Take ownership of the parks
  • Preventive replacement of wearing parts on wind turbines, mechanically as well as electrically
  • Troubleshooting and error correction of wind turbines
  • Annual service on the park's wind turbines
  • Work to achieve the least possible downtime

 

Qualifications
We are looking for you who have:

  • Electrical certificate before Group L, energy fitter, or mechanical educated
  • Min. 5 years' work experience
  • Driver's license at B is a requirement, driver's license on a snowmobile or BE is an additional attitude
  • Good Norwegian and English language skills, oral and written
  • Good competence with PC as a tool, as we work with a lot of different systems

Additional information

In the first period of 6 months, there will be intensive training and education on our wind turbines. Training will take place in Denmark and practice in Scandinavia. During this period you must expect a shift of 2-3 weeks training, 1 week off. After training, you will transfer to a rotation scheme of 2 weeks work, 2 weeks off. (16/12 schedule)
As most departures will be by plane, we want you to live within an hour's distance from the following airports:

  • Trondheim (Værnes)
  • Oslo (Gardermoen)
  • Bergen (Flesland)
  • Stavanger (Sola)
  • Tromsø
  • Bodø

The position requires that you are in good physical shape and that you can pass a medical health test in Denmark / Norway.
