We are looking for a Site Manager to join our newly establish Service team in the Vestas Offshore Japan. If you would like to work in an international and innovative company where we work shoulder to shoulder every day to become the global leader in the offshore wind market. We are looking for candidates with great leadership and organizational skills.

 

In the Service department you will work in close collaboration with Service supervisor, Service Manager in Japan and Taiwan. Together you will ensure that global uniformed processes and procedures are implemented and adhered to Vestas standards. You will also ensure daily operations of service site, including management of external contractors, reporting of both basic and advanced assignments.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for the service site daily operations

• Day-to-day planning and execution, manage and deploy resources, tools and equipment on a daily basis

• Assist Service manager with budget forecasting

• Ensure documentation is available

• Comply with Vestas Health, Safety and Environment Management system

• Notification of observations, incidents and accidents according to HSE procedures

• Lead and develop site team

• Ensure coordination of tasks with the local Service Organisation

• Coordinate vessel transfer with local Service Organisation

• Comply with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) process, including registering consumed parts if applicable

• Responsible ensuring Daily Progress Report (DPR)

• Manage internal and external stakeholders and support project management team with related tasks

• Day-to-day communication and alignment at site level with customer, vessel owner and relevant subcontracted organisations

• Report and escalate to Line Manager and Other key stakeholders as needed

• Responsible for training and daily team management

• Ensure personnel welfare

 

Qualifications

We believe our ideal candidate has or is:

• Relevant education (e.g. Engineering education or similar)

• 3-5 years of experience working with wind turbine service and maintenance/repair and troubleshooting, e.g. in the offshore industry

• Have solid leadership skills and are proficient in the supervisor role or manager role

• Able to navigate in a ever-growing environment where priorities can vary from one day to the next

• Great organizational skills

• Team-work and a proactive and effective problem-solver

• Have solid communication skills, able to communicate in a professional and comprehensible way

• Are responsible and result orientated.

• Are fluent in English, both oral and in writing

• Have basic IT skills (Word, Excel, SAP etc.)

• Are familiar with the Wind Turbine Safety Rules and have a comprehensive HSEQ mindset, promoting a safety culture

Additional information

Primary work location: Akita Noshiro site. 5 days a week.
