Site Execution Management Team is looking for a Site Manager Installation to support projects with world class execution, focus and lead co-ordination of WTG installation activities. Comply with legal requirements, construction and safety codes, and other local regulations, drive site moral and build synergistic environment with selected on-site specialist and installation supervisors. Maintaining overall site performance and construction process, including liaising with Client and Client EPC.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team that models Vestas values and high standards of performance.

• Provide effective leadership that achieves a highly aligned, engaged and motivated installation team that produces high-level results against Key Performance Indicators and Operational Objectives.

• Perform day-to-day site planning, leading, controlling and co-ordination of WTG delivery and installation activities.

• Manage material co-ordination of WTG components, required availability of tools and subcontractor's talent pool.

• Prioritize installation sequence and liaison with Client contractors.

• Work closely with all relevant stakeholders to ensure progress in as per project schedule.

• Maintaining quality control procedures

• Responsible for first notification of NCR and implementation of needed actions to solve issues.

• Responsible for as-built documentation and capturing on-site manhours.

• Follow-up on delivery schedules and shipping coordination, control, registration approval of arriving goods, and goods received note.

• Align PCP templates and ensure documentations are fit for purpose for respected platforms.

• Coordinate and direct site supervisors and commissioners on-site.

• Meet contractual conditions of performance by reviewing the work progress on a daily basis.

• Prepare internal and external reports to communicate progress.

• Plan to prevent problems and resolve any emerging challenges.

• Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.

 

Qualifications

Education: Post-Grad Degree, Degree Trade Qualification, TAFE/Diploma (Not essential)

 

(Types of experiences expected or required to fully carry out the position, e.g. specific industry experience)

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Installation construction or renewable operations.

• Demonstrated good communication skills and experience in engaging with diverse stakeholders both internal and external.

• Advanced IT skills, e.g. MS Office, MS Project user or key user.

 

Competencies

• Leadership of site-based subcontractors and employees that has resulted in a highly aligned, motivated, and engaged team with a key focus on safety.

• Craneage/heavy lifting experience including understanding of lift studies and planning and executing works methodologies (for mobile cranes).

• High understanding of the financial impact of decisions with respect to project budgets and organization requirements.

• Demonstrated leadership ability in coaching, mentoring, motivating and developing employees to achieve a highly aligned, motivated and engaged team.

• Demonstrated continuous improvement and quality methodology skills.

• Valid driver's license, or able to obtain IDP associated with Geneva convention, passport and ability to travel as needed to meet business requirements.

• Technical diploma, degree or relevant qualification related to engineering, construction or similar is advantageous, however relevant experience would be accepted in lieu.
