Reginal Procurement Program Management department is responsible for the reginal procurement project management and supports global procurement program management. It is a role of an "Individual Contributor" , however involving all relevant functional owners & employees across the organization and outside stake-holders.

Responsibilities

  • Role is predominantly into the areas of Japan Supply Chain localization and Offshore Procurement Readiness.
  • Explore and develop Japanese Supply Chain in alignment with Sales, Local Content COO Business development, Global and Regional Procurement stakeholders.
  • Proactively to identify the procurement deliverables, involvement in offshore project and ensure procurement readiness across the full value chain.
  • Ensure Projects are delivered on time fulfilling Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost Targets of the company as per Plan.
  • Be a single point of contact for all connected departments related to Japan local supply chain development and offshore project procurement readiness.
  • Will be responsible for reaching 1) Required Safety level in any given project 2) Quality of the outcome of the project, 2) Delivery / Completion schedule targeted & 3) Also the Cost Targets set for the execution & as well as a result of the project., thereby held responsible for the integrated approach with all relevant functions with effective project management skills.
  • Identification of Critical Path and proactive mitigation of key risks in project cycle including appropriate communication to key stakeholders and Management team.
  • Be able to contribute effectively to Stakeholder Management together with the skills on both the Technical and Commercial sides.

 

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering or Business.
  • PMP certification is plus.
  • Experience : Minimum 8 years of experience in handling Projects as Project or Sourcing Manager.
  • Required Language: Fluent English and Japanese.

  • Self-driven, proactive - take responsibility to ensure results.
  • Take responsibility for own area and interact as integrated team-member with other team members
  • Accept guidelines from functional Management and proactively inform them on issues, risks etc. for full transparency on progress, situation etc.
  • Should have been a Project Manager for Medium & Large projects involving cross Functional & cross-Cultural teams.
  • Progress project even when process is ambiguous.
  • High level of Project management skills with technical back-ground.
  • Should have exposure into development life-cycle of engineering components as well - right from the process of validation of technical drawings & details, supplier development (PPAP) and pricing finalization.

Primary work location: Tokyo office. 5 days a week.
