The Construction & Transport Procurement department is responsible for sourcing industrial service providers who support Vestas with qualified equipment and manpower to deliver value adding solutions for On- and Off-shore wind power plants. We contract all companies that maintain works on our turbines, both during the Transportation and Construction phase. We support our operation's team with the best landed total cost, support for technological game changing initiatives and ensure a high level of safety and quality

Responsibilities
Your main responsibility will be to define a strategy and coordinate a wide range of Construction, Transportation and Vessel suppliers in North East Asia.
More specifically your responsibilities will cover:- Be the point of contact for Construction, Transportation and Vessel suppliers in South Korea throughout early engagement phase, tendering and contract negotiation process.
· Drafting and execution of tenders & supplier negotiations
· Develop and implement the regional Offshore Construction and Transport Procurement strategy
· Establish and develop partnerships with selected suppliers to gain competitive advantages
· Build supply market intelligence and ensure that supply base data is available to support business decisions
· Develop new and maintain ongoing relationships with Construction, Transportation and Vessel companies
· Secure that cost reduction targets are achieved through cost out projects and ongoing price negotiations for cross regional procurement initiatives. This includes scoping, negotiating and implementing standard contracts and prices to enable local ordering
Qualifications
· Academic degree in engineering or business studies
· 5 years' work experience in either Procurement or EPC Project Management - 2+ years of experience within offshore renewable industry and offshore vessel chartering
· Negotiation skills and understanding about Supplier Relationship Management
· Long term planning capabilities
· Familiar with BIMCO WINDTIME and SUPPLYTIME standard forms of contract
· Substantial commercial and contractual experience
· Advanced negotiations skills

· Ability to prioritize in a time-sensitive situation
· Fluent English and Japanese spoken and written
· Advanced MS Excel skills

· Ability to work in a time-sensitive setting to tight deadlines
· Enhanced organization, time management and communication skills
· Advanced knowledge in MS office e.g. Excel

Primary work location: Tokyo HQ office. 5 days a week.
