Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate visible HSE Leadership, coach and support the Construction business and collaborate across other NEA Functions with the objective of cultivating a mature, risk based HSE culture
  • Support in the execution of strategic HSE programs and processes throughout Construction ANZ
  • Lead the execution of Vestas NEA HSE program and Aligned to global and Regional HSE systems and Frameworks within NEA Construction
  • Continually assess emerging HSE risks and control effectiveness across Construction facilitating proactive action
  • Establish and ensure a consistent and aligned approach and implementation of HSE systems across Construction and Service
  • Lead a team of Construction HSE resources to develop a proactive HSE culture throughout the value chain
  • Monitor performance & compliance throughout Construction, intervening and stop processes or actions in NEA, where the level of HSE is below the standard required

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in HSE or engineering curriculum being in compliance with local legal requirements
  • Minimum of +5 years of management / supervision experience preferably on a leadership level

 

Competencies

  • Expertise in hazard jobsite assessment/analysis/solution, risk assessments, incident investigation and root cause analysis
  • Proficiency in contractor/subcontractor HSE management
  • Experienced Auditor for ISO 14001 & 45001 standard - practitioner
  • Experience in supervising and influencing a team of HSE resources and cross-functional leaders in a large, multinational organizations
  • Experience in Civil Works/construction (project-based approach)
  • Experienced in process deployment (BPMS) in complex organizations
  • Substantial experience of data analysis, having knowledge of relevant tools and methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to establish, implement and manage HSE best practices and programs
  • Customer focus, effective problem-solving capabilities, strong collaborator and cultural sensitivity skills
  • Able to communicate across all Construction levels to align expectations, engage the organization, monitor results and establish solutions
  • Must have a sense of urgency for change and improvement and a practical approach to HSE Risk management

Additional information

Primary work location: Tokyo head office.5 days a week, expected to visit the construction site often.
