In this role you will be part of the Regional Operations Engineering Support team for Service Onshore. The goal of local Regional Operation Engineering team to assist service department with wind farm operation by providing technical supports and solutions, optimizing turbine performance and supporting enhancement of turbine related issues including blade inspection, repair, optimization. Separately, the team will be also engineering projects related to cost-out and operational readiness activities.

Responsibilities
- Follow up and develop new blade inspection initiatives, such as robotic internal blade inspections or improve the drone inspection process
- Manage failure analysis to support commercial decisions and contribute to component forecasting for service contract planning
- Managed the blade repair backlog mainly in the GA & JP
- Coordinating ongoing product development and blade care enhancement with APAC blade LCE
- Develop customer reports, method statements and internal documentation
- Conduct focused activities requiring advanced knowledge in blade technology, such as structural evaluations and repair strategies
- Attend blade repairs on-site to familiarize yourself with the actual blade repairs
- CIR review and BIR creation
- Offer on-site and remote support for blade damage evaluation, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning
- Respond to technical inquiries from field service teams and construction
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Materials or Mechanical Engineering (other degrees considered with experience)
- Experience with glass or carbon fiber design and construction
- Min. 5 years of experience in engineering with a background in solving problems
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken
- Master's degree in mechanical, Polymer or Chemical Engineering is beneficial

- Ability to work in demanding situations and handle multiple responsibilities in a deadline-oriented environment, effective oral and written communication skills, and effective organizational skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Demonstrated ability to adjust in a progressive and changing workplace
- Cross-functional collaboration skills, work effectively with all relevant stakeholders
- Proficient computer skills, specifically in MS Office products and AutoCAD (would be beneficial)
- You are a highly motivated person who can work with little supervision and have experience with glass/carbon structural repair, especially on wind turbine blades
- Specific experience in the implementation, operation, system standards and service of wind turbines, experience in project management and systematic problem-solving methodology (8D, DMAIC, etc.)
- Solid commercial experience from exposure to/understanding of customers in either sales or service
