The Finance Manager R&C - Japan & Korea is responsible for the local compliance of both entities as well as their monthly & yearly Group reporting. The Finance manager will report to the Director Finance R&C and will have 2 reports in Japan & Korea each.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to Group financial processes, compliance rules/policies and Vestas guidelines
  • Understand the business in Japan & Korea - Sales, Construction & Service through interaction with the BPM controllers
  • Ensure timely and efficient closing process and submission of Monthly and Annual Reporting Packages
  • Be in control of the cash forecast of the entities on a weekly basis
  • Comply with local financial regulation for submission of audited financial statements & Tax returns
  • Manage 2 accountants - 1 in Japan & 1 in Korea
  • Review SSC work on AP, AR, Bank on a monthly basis
  • Highlight problem areas and create projects to resolve them - such as unrecorded direct debit payments in Japan
  • Automate processes as required with the help of IT

 

Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountants
  • A Chartered Accountant preferably with exposure to Accounting in Japan
  • 10+ years in various Finance roles
  • Experience managing financials and operations across multiple countries / cultures
  • Solid experience in financial controlling, audit, tax and compliance
  • Experienced in SAP, BI, Advanced Excel skills

Languages:

  • English - fluent verbal & written communications are essential
  • Japanese and or Korean - business level communication are appreciated but not mandatory

Primary work location: Tokyo / South Korea office. 5 days a week.
