Vestas Factory

Contract Management Onshore, NSEA is responsible for providing Contract Management support to our onshore construction projects within the North & South East Asia sub-region.

 

Region APC > Construction & Operations APAC > Contract Management India & NSEA

 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the commercial and contractual aspects of the construction phase of onshore wind farms projects.
  • Responsible for identifying commercial and contractual risks at early stage, proposing mitigation actions to internal stakeholders and management, implementing the agreed mitigation actions.
  • Responsible for evaluating potential claim scenarios and providing recommendations to internal stakeholders and management.
  • Responsible for variation order and claims management activities and drafting formal variation order and claims related correspondence.
  • Support procurement team to transfer the risks in Customer contracts to various subcontracts and negotiate the contract terms with subcontractors.
  • Negotiate potential commercial and contractual dispute with customers, subcontractors and any other third party.
  • Review, present and advise and support internal stakeholders on obligations and deliverables under Turbine Supply Agreements.
  • Ensure internal processes and procedures relating to contract management are adhered to.
  • Attend internal and external meetings as necessary.
  • Work with Document Control and ensure all contractual documents are filed, stored and uploaded properly.
  • Work closely with the Compliance and Legal Department.

 

Qualifications

  • Experienced in contract and claims management, with in-depth knowledge of extension of time and costs claims, etc.
  • Relevant University Degree or relevant professional institute qualification.
  • Experience from Wind, Construction and Oil & Gas industries. Law firm experience will also be considered.
  • Fluent in speaking Japanese and English

  • Independent professional able to supervise own workload with minimal supervision.
  • Scientific approach to problem solving and minimizing exposure to commercial and contractual risks.
  • Attention to detail. Good document management skills.
  • Ability to work in a time-sensitive setting to tight deadlines.
  • Skilled organization, time management and communication skills.

Primary work location: Tokyo office. 5 days a week.
