Welcome to our Customer Project Execution (CPX) team in Asia (Onshore)

We are dedicated to delivering projects to our customers across the Asia region. Our success hinges on close collaboration with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed safely, cost-efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards. As a member of the CPX Project Management team, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of Wind Turbine Supply/Installation projects. You will ensure that projects are executed within the scope of the contract, on budget, on schedule, and with impeccable quality. Key functions of this role include customer relationship management, cost and schedule control, safety and quality management, risk and opportunity assessment, and providing leadership to the entire project team across regions/locations. Responsibilities

 

  • Manage assigned project activities across initiating, planning, monitoring and controlling, and closing phases, ensuring safe execution and adherence to quality standards.
  • Ensure project activities are planned and executed in accordance with contractual scope, schedule, budget, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Identify and drive the resolution of project issues within assigned scope, ensuring timely and practical outcomes.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate and timely project reports, including overall status, progress, schedule, risks and opportunities, and key issues and resolutions.
  • Contribute to QHSE efforts, promoting an injury- and incident-free safety culture at project sites.
  • Manage and track customer deliverables, ensuring timely and accurate information flow.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, customers, and site teams to ensure smooth execution of operational activities.
  • Maintain project governance and management system, e.g., Stage Gage Model, Active Risk Management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to Management and customers.
  • Representing Vestas' values and uphold high standards of performance and integrity.

 

Qualification

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Contract Management, or a related discipline, combined with strong technical and contractual understanding.
  • 4-7 years of Project Management experience primarily from managing large scale construction projects in an international environment.
  • Experience with modular construction projects is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain an overall project perspective while effectively managing day-to-day operational activities, ensuring alignment with safety, schedule, quality, and contractual requirement.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and coordinate internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, alignment of expectations, and timely resolution of issues.
  • Capability of developing and maintaining structured project reporting, providing accurate and timely updates on progress, risks, and performance in line with internal governance requirement.
  • Capability of negotiating effectively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve aligned, practical, and commercially sound outcomes.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills, with a good understanding of the value chain.
  • Knowledge of the Stage Gate model.
  • Risk Management competencies.
  • Commercial insight.
  • Product understanding and awareness.
  • Knowledge of modular development and new product introductions across a global value chain is beneficial.
  • Contractual as well as technical understanding.
  • Awareness of cultural diversity.
  • Certified in project management tools, e.g., Prince2, IPMA, PMP
  • Good IT skills and experience with Microsoft Office, SAP, BI, or equivalent EPR knowledge.

  • Hold valid driver's license in Japan
