Service Offshore APAC is part of the APAC Service organisation in Vestas. We are responsible for all aspects of the planning and execution of O&M activities for the offshore business in the region.

You will be a member of the Service Offshore Management Team reporting directly to the Director for Service Offshore.

Responsibilities

As Senior Contract Manager you will have the lead responsibility for the Service Offshore portfolio and possess the skills and experience to direct and improve the commercial and contractual aspects of commercially complex projects and disputes that could have a significant business impact for Vestas.

• The Senior Contract Manager will be a enthusiastic person in the growth and development of the Service Offshore team regarding commercial and contractual competences.

• The Senior Contract Manager will set the direction and aspiration for the Contract Management function in Service Offshore, including defining new initiatives across functions and regions in Vestas including:

• The continual development/improvement of standard templates for use in Contract Management, in particular DPR reporting process, both for internal and external purposes.

• The continual development of processes for service projects, including Daily Reports, Weekly Reports, on site resource records/schedules, Communication Forms, Defects Register etc.

• The Senior Contract Manager will support the Sales phase of projects, by providing commercial and contractual support to Sales and Service Sales Support team during Sales negotiations including:

• Programming/planning principles

• EoT and Cost Compensation

• Adverse Weather principles

• Taking Over and Ramp-Up procedures

• End of Warranty Process

• Risk Management

• Payment requirements

• Provide input to the Marine department in relation to aligning Vessel Charter Party conditions to SAA conditions, in particular transfer of risk, recovery of delays, additional costs etc.

 

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience as working in a established role with commercial and contractual topics in an international environment in the wind industry

• Experience in working with diverse cultures in Asia Pacific region

• A legal or quantity surveying education

• Fluency in English, other Asian languages are a benefit

• Good knowledge of Microsoft products and general IT with SAP experience.

• Willing to be consistent in relation to working hours given the worldwide location of our stakeholders.

Additional information

Primary work location: Tokyo head office. 5 days a week.
