The Service Department, our focus is to provide our clients with high quality and best possible production of their wind power plants.

With our long-standing good experience with and service experience globally, we work to ensure that we maintain our clients' plants effectively to get the most out of each turbines while upholding to our commitment to safety standards

Responsibilities

Compliance with Vestas Health, Safety and Environmental Management SystemPerform Electrical and Mechanical service operations

You will be responsible for organizing, planning and preparing all offshore activities and ensuring smooth and safe operations on the offshore wind farm.

You will be developing a team of technicians to service and maintain the wind farm.

 

These are the main responsibilites;

  • Supervise and coordinate service operations on site
  • Plan service tasks on a daily basis
  • Organize Vessel + O&M team transfers
  • Monitor weather forecasts
  • Prepare transfer plans and daily reports
  • Create service work orders in ERP
  • Maintain and update planning board
  • Assist the implementation of new procedures/processes
  • Approve hours of technicians
  • Plan annual service and maintenance
  • Provide input to Monthly Customer Report
  • Ensure implementation of upgrades
  • Service the customer to ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Comply with Vestas' Health and Safety Management system
  • Provide general support to the Service Manager
  • Supervise and ensure electrical safety works on site

 

Qualifications

  • Has completed an electrical or mechanical degree from a technical school, college, or experience, better within the offshore field
  • At least two years of professional experience with electrical and mechanical systems, preferably with high voltage.
  • Native Level Japanese language skill
  • 3-5 years of management experience (preferablly 5-10 people management)
  • You have professional wind turbine experience and you are therefore comfortable working offshore and at heights, and are able to cope with the respective problems this brings.
  • Suitably experienced candidates without the above qualifications will be considered only in exceptional circumstances

  • Speak and write English fluently
  • Have worked in a planning role
  • You know how to ensure general safety and safety awareness
  • You are willing to travel to other sites when required
  • You are a leader and possess good organisational and time management skills
  • You are consistent, practical, technically responsible, and a team member
  • Are comfortable with MS Office applications
  • Have a full and valid driving license in Japan.
  • Are an appropriate communicator (multi-site liaison required)
  • Can switch easily between tasks
  • Are able to influence and assist others in a positive manner

Additional information

Primary work location: Akita / Noshiro site. 7 days on and 7 days off.
