Manufacturing and Global Procurement> COO APAC > Direct Material Nacelle APAC NEA
Global Procurement is responsible for all procurement activities within Vestas, including global cross functional category teams, negotiations and contract management, development of end-2-end cost out initiatives, category strategy development and supplier relationship management

 

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsible for supplier development, performance and relationship management (SRM), cost management,  supply chain risk management which are relevant to SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost)  in NEA region
  • Coordinate the NEA region supplier and commodity strategy making and execution by working closely with VPS and SQD team. Actively engage with global procurement team, VPS and SQD team to integrate the NEA stratey into the global strategy
  • Coordinate the business review meetings and supplier account plan with suppliers
  • Coordinate the KPIs: EBIT, continuous cost out initiatives technically and commercially through the whole value chain, PPV etc
  • Supplier footprint planning and implementation by working closely with global procurement team, supply chain, SQD team and suppliers
  • Negotiations with suppliers
  • Supplier base investigation and update

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with strategic procurement or a degree in either business or engineering
  • Proven record of significant stakeholder management skills incl. experience with communication on executive level
  • Professional communication skills including fluent English skills
  • Advanced skills within Powerpoint and excel
  • Experience from large casting industry

  • Understand the whole value chain from the upstream RM to the manufacturing process and  the fundamental value chain of the large casting

  • Have stakeholder communication skills, as well as the ability to identify and involve business stakeholders and navigate through competing agendas. You know stakeholder needs and expectations, and are able to negotiate solutions but also when needed disagrees and opportunity stakeholders respectively
