Manufacturing and Global Procurement > Global Procurement > Purchasing & Contract Management 
The position will provide end-to-end sourcing support to the business, including responsibility for the vision, strategy, and implementation for a specific subcategory or commodity within the China Vestas indirect category that will effectively meet the needs of the business and deliver the maximum value for Vestas. This includes business engagement, contracting, sourcing and supplier management.

 

Responsibilities
The position will provide end-to-end sourcing support to the business, including responsibility for the vision, strategy and implementation for a specific subcategory or commodity within the China Vestas indirect category that will effectively meet the needs of the business and deliver the maximum value for Vestas. This includes business engagement, contracting, sourcing and supplier management.

  • Coordinating the needs and expectations of the business to improve satisfaction while ensuring compliance to procurement standards and alignment with procurement strategies
  • The implementation plan for a specific category of spend that will effectively meet the needs of the business and deliver the maximum value for Vestas
  • A disciplined approach for reducing total costs of externally purchased materials, goods and services and improving levels of quality, service and value to the business. Sub-processes: sourcing strategy & approach to market, sourcing documentation creation, sourcing event execution, negotiation & supplier selection, sourcing implementation
  • Systematically and efficiently handling contract creation, approval, administration and compliance to maximize financial and operational performance and minimize risk
  • Supervising the interactions with the organizations that supply the goods and services to Vestas including relationship building, data review and analysis, performance management and development and improvement
  • Management, training, knowledge management and market intelligence 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree or higher major in Economics, Logistics 
  • Fluent oral and written English, be comfortable to join the team discussions within the region as well as the global peers
  • Motivation and self-motivation
  • Experience: 2 years in one of the areas of sourcing/supply chain
  • Solid experience in cost reduction with significant experience
  • Sourcing practice, process & strategy knowledge
  • Commercial understanding & skills
  • Change & improvement management skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Program & project management skills

  • Implements and administers standard procurement policies and processes for multiple departments/geographic area, client groups, or functional projects
  • Communicates clearly, concisely and effectively; is results-oriented and customer-focused
  • Sets priorities, allocates resources. Prioritizes requests and proposes effective cost/customer service alternatives when necessary
  • Has leadership skills needed to influence others
