The position is part of Service Vietnam in the Vestas APAC Region. Here you become part of a collaborative team of more than 100 colleagues who work daily on delivering services for onshore and nearshore wind farms for our trusted customers in Vietnam. This includes everything from strategy work, operational quality, health & safety, and technical problem-solving to delivering the services on the wind turbines.
Responsibilities
Primary Work Location: Tan Phu Dong, Tien Giang Province
As a Site Manager, you will oversee the operations of nearshore/intertidal service sites in Southern Vietnam, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. In this role, you will mentor a team of Site Supervisors to uphold the organization's central beliefs and to perform in their respective functions.
Your key responsibilities will include safety leadership, operational efficiency, financial performance, and customer account management. You also will be responsible for technical problem-solving, budget management, and ensuring optimal turbine performance:
- Cultivate an environment focused on safety at the sites, promoting continuous improvement in safety performance
- Develop and empower your team to efficiently operate and maintain wind turbine plants
- Establish robust partnerships with customers to guarantee the fulfillment of contractual commitments
- Manage costs adequately to meet budgetary targets for assigned service contracts
- Coordinate scheduled maintenance efforts to optimize turbine performance
Qualification
- 2-3 years of management experience in a related service field and marine operations. A technical background is beneficial, with knowledge of hydraulic or rotating heavy equipment. Familiarity with complex marine operations, including Crew Transfer Vessels operations, elevated lifts from grounding barges and cranes
- Willingness to work at the service sites and travel (to various sites in Mekong Delta) as needed
- Solid English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to climb stairs & vertical ladders to heights of 100 to 160 meters and at times supervise work in confined space environments. Due to safety parameters of fall protection equipment, the total weight of required PPE and gear shall weigh 300 lbs or less while being worn. Required PPE and gear can weigh up to 40 lbs
- Ability to observe training and obtain certification in required safety programs that include LOTO, Electrical, Fall Arrest & High Angle Emergency Decent, and Confined Space
- Ability to fully participate in all training courses, including controlled decent practical exercises
