Team Leader | Full-Time | Supply Chain and Logistics 

The Taranto site is where we have out most proven technologies and will be introducing our most complex new products in the future. As such our team here is working diligently towards ensuring our customers are receiving safe and quality proven products on-time. Our footprint in Taranto has served Vestas for 25 years and will continue to do so going forward. The logistics department is a part of our operations in Taranto and ensures our inbound, receiving, warehousing, delivery internally, planning, outbound delivery, stock counting and our optimal use of all equipment related to this.

 

 

Responsibilities

The Warehouse Supervisor will support daily warehouse operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with company standards. This role focuses on coordinating workflows, monitoring inventory, and assisting logistics activities in Taranto Plant.

 

Key responsibilities will be:

 

• Lead and motivate the warehouse team to maintain smooth operations and consistent performance.

• Encourage a workplace culture that prioritizes safety and quality in every warehouse task.

• Perform regular checks to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

• Coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and outbound activities.

• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory counts.

• Support staffing plans and team scheduling to maintain smooth operations.

• Ensure proper maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities.

• Implement and sustain 5S and maintain a clean, organized environment.

 

 

Competencies

• Demonstrated ability to lead and guide a team effectively.

• Previous experience in warehouse or logistics operations (supervisory experience).

• Solid working knowledge of MS Office and a high level of familiarity with SAP or WMS.

• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

• English proficiency.
