Supply Chain Operations is an integral part of Vestas' expanding Service Business Unit. The department runs our warehouse operations, the backbone of our supply chain, in our Mediterranean (MED) sales business unit. Our MED Warehousing & Operations team supports the business by securing timely availability and reliability on delivery of spares, main components, and tools. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Transport Supervisor who will be responsible for supervising blade handling activities, semi-finished products, and waste management, both in onshore and offshore contexts. You will work closely with direct reports (Team Leaders), operational teams, various Vestas entities involved in the processes, and external companies, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise handling activities and waste management
- Ensure that all operations are carried out in compliance with strict safety and quality requirements
- Participate in projects related to their area of expertise
- Serve as a point of reference for the factory and other Vestas entities
- Use management systems (SAP) and other digital tools
- Identify and correct any discrepancies or errors in processes, whether technical or operational
- Organize and attend meetings with internal and external personnel, both in Italy and abroad
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 2–3 years of professional experience in transport or logistics-related roles
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)

- Solid background in waste management, with full knowledge of relevant regulations and procedures
- Ability to perform effectively in complex and high-pressure environments
- Experience in managing large-scale handling operations effectively
- Effective team spirit and a highly collaborative mindset
- Problem-solving capabilities, communication, and decision-making skills
- Organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Practical knowledge and experience with IT systems and platforms (e.g. MS Office, SAP, AutoCAD)
- Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage in constructive and professional dialogue
- Proactive attitude with a strong results-oriented approach.
