We are looking for a Professional – Finish & Paint Process Engineer to join our Blades Process Engineering team in Taranto.

In this role, you will contribute to the development, optimization, and standardization of finish and paint processes for wind turbine blades. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, applying structured problem-solving methods and continuous improvement principles to ensure stable, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing in line with Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC).

 

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize Finish & Paint production processes.
  • Define process requirements and specifications.
  • Support industrialization and standardization of processes across manufacturing sites.
  • Drive and support process optimization initiatives.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues using structured methodologies (5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA).
  • Apply continuous improvement tools such as SPC, Lean, Six Sigma to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure final product quality.
  • Use data analytics to drive data-based decision-making.
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Green Belt in Six Sigma or Advanced Manufacturing Process Analysis.
  • 4–5 years of experience in process engineering, ideally in Finish & Paint or manufacturing of composite products.

 

Experience with:

  • Process requirements and specifications
  • Process flow creation
  • High-level data analysis in a data-driven organization
  • Process optimization and continuous improvement

 

Competencies

  • Blend of technical, analytical, and operational skills in composite materials and precision manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of paint systems, adhesives, fiberglass, epoxy resins, and other blade manufacturing materials.
  • Expertise in Finish & Paint process design and optimization.
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to apply SPC and Six Sigma methods.
  • Strong problem-solving ability with tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, FMEA.
  • Self-motivated, result-oriented, and well organized.
  • Comfortable working in a factory environment to solve problems directly on site.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a large, multicultural organization and build cross-functional networks.
  • Customer-oriented, with understanding of the end-to-end value chain.
  • Committed to continuous learning and improvement.
