The Real Estate & Facility Management (RE&FM) team supports Vestas sites across the globe. We manage buildings, services, and projects that keep our offices, production sites, and warehouses running smoothly. Department Description

 


As a Facility Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that our Taranto facility is well-maintained, safe, and compliant with all legal requirements. You’ll manage vendors, supervise maintenance activities, support improvement projects, and keep our facility operations organized and efficient.

 

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Vendor Management

  • Plan and supervise daily maintenance tasks such as electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, fire safety, and civil repairs.
  • Work closely with external service providers and ensure that work is completed on time and to the required standards.
  • Oversee contracts for cleaning, security, and technical services, ensuring they meet legal and procurement standards.

Facility & Real Estate Support

  • Help manage lease agreements, liaise with landlords, and ensure compliance with legal and tax regulations.
  • Keep building-related documents and licenses up to date.

Project Coordination

  • Support projects related to facility improvements, construction work, or changes required by production.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project timelines and quality expectations are met.

Inspections & Help Desk Ticketing

  • Perform regular site inspections to ensure safety, functionality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Use our ticketing system to track repair requests and coordinate task assignments to vendors and technicians.
  • Monitor performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).

Budgeting & Administration

  • Create and manage facility-related budgets.
  • Handle purchase orders, invoice approvals, and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Make sure all facility activities comply with company policies in areas like health & safety, security, finance, and procurement. 

 

Qualifications

Education & Background

  • Degree in one of the following areas:
  1. Architecture or Environmental Architecture with a technical/mechanical focus
  2. Building or Civil Engineering
  3. Real Estate or Facility Management
  4. Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Significant experience in facility management in industrial or production environments.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Extensive knowledge of Italian health & safety regulations (e.g., D.Lgs. 81/2008)
  • Comfortable with budgeting, contract preparation, and vendor coordination
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Experience with SAP

Language

  • Native or fluent in Italian
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken)

  • Skilled in communication and able to collaborate effectively with both team members and service providers
