  • The offshore Special project team is a newly establish team in the Vestas ASP region the key focus area of the team is to Project Manage main component exchange, Blade inspection and maintenance primarily for offshore windfarms, the team will where possible support the on and offshore shore service sites activities in the ASP region of Vestas, the team will be working closely together with our Vestas NCE Offshore service support team to ensure alignment of procedures and process globally
  • In the Special projects department, you will work in close collaboration with Site managers and our project coordinator and deputy site managers supporting the ASP service sites and ensuring together that global uniformed processes and procedures are implemented and adhered to Vestas standards.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the project organization
  • Engage the project execution team in continuous improvement
  • Responsible for the day-to-day communication and alignment with stakeholders
  • Ensure effective task planning and control
  • Monitor progress, budget and performance on a continuous basis
  • Responsible for managing the work of sub-contractors, allocating and utilising resources in an efficient manner and maintaining a co-operative and effective team
  • Report and escalate to Line Manager or Steering Group as needed
  • Perform risk management
  • Manage and maintain documentation and ensure all reporting requirements are met on time and to the required quality
  • Travel shall be expected to visit the service sites in the ASP region
  • You will be based in the Taipei office (ideally) in Taiwan

 

Qualifications

  • Relevant education (e.g. Engineering or Contractual background, Project Manager education or similar)
  • 3-5 years experience from similar industry or Oil and gas from large scale projects
  • solid leadership skills
  • Prince 2 Practitioner course
  • Good stakeholder management skills
  • Able to navigate in a ever-growing environment where priorities can vary from one day to the next
  • Product understanding and awareness
  • Risk Management abilities
  • Commercial acumen
  • Contractual as well as technical understanding
  • Awareness of cultural diversity

 

Competencies

  • Collaborates well and is a motivated and effective problem-solver
  • Have solid communication skills, able to communicate in a professional and comprehensible way
  • Are responsible and result orientated.
  • Are fluent in English, both oral and in writing
  • Have basic IT skills (Word, Excel, MS project etc.)
  • have an experienced HSEQ mindset, promoting a safety culture
