Vestas Offshore Service Support Department, is part of the overall Offshore Service business in the APAC region, working closely with the Operational Service Team, Sales, Special Projects and Construction. Responsible for the service site setup, support, and preparation, including long term strategic planning for the APAC offshore service regions.
Responsibilities
- The Service Readiness Manager is responsible for planning, scheduling, and implementing the service readiness activities for APAC Service Offshore according to the service readiness governance and stage gate model.
- Specific task deliverables (outcomes or items) that need to be completed or finalized in order to ensure that a service site is ready prior to the contractual deliverables under the SAA is managed by the service readiness manager
- The Service Readiness deliverables and processes will continuously be optimized and changes lead by the Service Readiness Manager.
- Managing and supervising the site preparation, setup and ramp up according to Vestas Standards: The Service Readiness Manager must ensure that the Site personnel are properly trained, equipped, and motivated to perform their jobs efficiently and safely during the service readiness phase. Aligning and coordinating with the service team and service support readiness departments.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations: The Service Readiness Manager must ensure that all tasks are carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations and Vestas best standard practices, including the adherence to established safety procedures and local legislations in current and new markets.
- Maintaining accurate records: The Service Readiness Manager must maintain accurate records of all service readiness tasks, including documentation of tasks performed, risks, opportunities, and costs incurred.
- Analyzing performance data: The Service Readiness Manager is responsible for analyzing performance data from wind turbines to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement during the service readiness ramp up period. They must work closely with engineering, service support and operations teams to implement solutions that improve turbine performance and reliability.
- Managing budgets and resources: The Service Readiness Manager is responsible for managing budgets and allocating resources to ensure that service readiness operations are conducted efficiently and effectively.
- Communicating with stakeholders: The Site manager must maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including wind turbine owners, suppliers, and contractors. They must provide regular updates on service activities and ensure that any issues or concerns are addressed in a timely and effective manner according to the contract deliverables.
- Expected travel to be approximately 50%.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in wind turbine service operations and project management
- Experience in process improvement, with ability to identify and apply effective cost-saving measures.
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience working with SAP software or other ERP systems. A Personal certification in SAP would be beneficial.
- Fluent in verbal and written English.
Competencies
- Experience in Service operations and maintenance including service contracts. Capable of managing projects and establishing service operation sites smoothly.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience working with offshore WTG construction or service operations.
- Fluent in verbal and written English.
