Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Project Delivery

• Oversee the planning and execution of offshore wind projects within the service department.

• Ensure delivery aligned with Vestas' standards for safety, quality, schedule, and cost.

• Apply structured project management methodologies while adjusting to project complexity and maturity.

2. Flexible Deployment Across Projects

• Handle diverse project assignments, including service operations, retrofit programs, or internal improvement initiatives.

• Rapidly assess project needs and mobilize appropriate delivery approaches.

• Support business priorities by stepping into different roles or workstreams as required to ensure overall project completion.

3. Safety & Quality Leadership

• Champion Vestas' "Safety First" culture across all activities.

• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, offshore regulations, and industry best practices.

• Embed quality assurance into all phases of project execution.

4. Customer & Stakeholder Focus

• Act as the primary interface with customers, ensuring alignment on expectations and delivery outcomes.

• Build positive relationships with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

• Represent Vestas with professionalism and a solutions-oriented mindset.

5. Commercial & Financial Accountability

• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.

• Support contract execution, variation management, and claims where applicable.

• Support cost efficiency and protect project margins.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with engineering, procurement, logistics, construction, and service teams.

• Coordinate global and regional resources within Vestas' matrix organization.

• Facilitate decision-making across multiple stakeholders and disciplines.

7. Risk & Opportunity Management

• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks in advance.

• Manage contingency planning and issue resolution.

• Capture and leverage opportunities to improve delivery efficiency and customer value.

8. Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Contribute to Vestas' continuous improvement culture by applying lessons learned.

• Support process optimization, digital tools adoption, and new delivery models.

• Share best practices across projects and regions.

 

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager in offshore wind, renewable energy, or large-scale infrastructure.

• Demonstrated experience delivering projects in at least one of the following:

o Offshore construction/installation

o Wind turbine generator (WTG) delivery

o Service/operations (O&M)

• Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).

• Solid understanding of offshore HSE requirements.

Bonus

• Experience within OEM environments (wind turbine manufacturers).

• Familiarity with Vestas turbine platforms and service models.

• Experience in global or multi-region project delivery.
