Regional Offshore Support team in Offshore Construction which comprises a team of highly motivated colleagues, supporting from the sales phase, project execution to O&M phase for turbine installation and maintenance in the Asia Pacific region.

In addition to project execution, our team also supports the rest of Vestas' value chain with our knowledge of construction, service and component replacement projects. Therefore, you will have great opportunities to spar with other parts in Vestas within the Asia Pacific region and around the world.

 

Responsibilities

You will assist Sales, Construction and Service functions to select vessels for installation and O&M assignments including preparation of feasibility studies and business cases in connection with e.g. vessel strategy, charter arrangements or sustainability studies.

Be up to date on vessel requirements, designs, new constructions, developments and collect knowledge of all relevant industry stakeholders that could have potential for the execution of Vestas' projects during the construction and O&M phase.

You will participate in internal meetings covering the deployment strategy for wind turbine Installation Vessels in Vestas projects. Furthermore, you would participate in interface meetings with clients, vessel providers and other contractors to ensure that information and assignments are exchanged between parties and distributed and carried out within Vestas.

You will coordinate vessel contracts from signing, construction and acceptance, mobilization, and demobilization including contractual enforcement and support to vessel end-users. Review of deck layouts, loading arrangements and lifting plans will also be part of your responsibility.

Your tasks will include:

  • Organization and coordination of vessel inspections with regards to vessel safety and operability
  • Assessment of offshore project contracts and identification of potential risks related to vessel conditions and execution
  • Assessment of country-specific laws and regulation for chartering and operating installation vessels
  • Participation in workshops for concept developments or safety requirements as key department representative
  • Evaluation and commenting on vessel tender documents
  • Preparation of request for quotations for installation vessel quotes
  • Support to construction and service projects through planning and execution phase

 

Qualifications

  • You have an advanced knowledge in vessel designs and marine operations as well as good project management skills. Furthermore, you have a broad technical and commercial understanding. As a person you have a motivated attitude.

 

Competencies

  • Hold a relevant education i.e. naval/mechanical/civil/marine engineering or alternatively a commercial shipping degree
  • Have good communication and English skills
  • Are a collaborator who is also able to work with limited supervision
  • Are flexible and highly motivated
  • Are able to work in a multicultural and multinational organization
