The Technical Sales Management department is the regional arm of our global Technical Sales Organisation, which links our Business Unit and our customer needs towards the central Power Solutions Team, responsible for the global Product Development in Vestas. This role within Technical Sales Management is a highly diversified role that requires solid technical skills as well as a skilled commercial mindset. You will work with our commercial Sales , our customers as well as central engineering functions which requires skilled communication and interfacing skills to improve offshore growth in Asia Pacific by ensuring the best possible technical solution for our customers. 



Together with the core technical sales team your main responsibilities as Support Structures Engineer  will be to ensure support the technical interface between the customer, project Foundation Designer and the Vestas Sales team. You will need to ensure timely and correct responses to customer enquiries, prepare clarifications and deviations to tenders, and guide technical negotiations relevant to the tower/foundation interface. Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for offshore foundation conceptual design and optimization
  • Responsible for support structure optimization design taking into account WTG, tower, foundation and soil / structure interaction.
  • Responsible for technical support for tender sales phase, fabrication, installation and operations through stakeholder involvement relating with support structure
  • Responsible for performing turbine related evaluation for construction and service improvement initiatives
  • Responsible for technical review of external stakeholders documents in generic and site specific design



  • Masters in Engineering (Mechanical/Civil/Structural or similar) combined with commercial insight/interest
  • Experience in engaging technical scoping and clarifications, developing technical value propositions and handling technical risk, ideally of heavy machinery, power plant equipment or similar
  • Previous experience in structural design of offshore infrastructure, within wind energy sector preferred
  • Fluency in business English both spoken and written would be essential
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other sales team colleagues, internal and external stakeholders to ensure that projects milestones are met



  • Solid communication skills and prior experience interacting with a variety of technical and commercial stakeholders
  • Organised and collaborative with proven experience working in innovative and high-pressure tendering environments
  • Results-oriented, with the ability to be innovative and creative in building a technical value proposition and seeking out value optimisation opportunities
  • High level of customer focus, with a holistic understanding of how technical solutions impact a business case commercially and contractually
  • Professional presentation skills with ability to present to senior management
