Service Offshore APAC is part of the APAC Service organisation in Vestas. We are responsible for all aspects of the planning and execution of O&M activities for the offshore business in the region.

You will be a member of the Service Offshore Management Team reporting directly to the Head of Service Offshore APAC.

 

Responsibilities

As a Contract Manager you will have the responsibility for an offshore portfolio of service sites and possess the skills and experience to direct and improve the commercial and contractual aspects of complex projects and disputes that could have a significant business impact for Vestas.

 

  • Legal SME to Contract Management activities with understanding of contractual terms and clauses and its implications commercially, operationally and legally
  • Ensuring appropriate understanding of all the contractual terms associated with all customers
  • Support the contract approval process, together with regional sales obtaining required approvals and provide recommendation to improve the approval anchor process where needed
  • Providing legal commercial contractual support to internal stakeholders in the correct understanding and interpretation of contract clauses and handling of major claims
  • Engaged participation in dispute avoidance/resolution strategies
  • Facilitate the lessons learned process to improve Vestas' position on future projects under negotiation
  • Manage external consultants when engaged for contractual assistance
  • Drafting/reviewing contractual correspondence including Communication Notices, Technical Queries, Monthly Site Reports, Availability Calculations, and other contractual documents as needed.
  • Prepare and develop strategies to respond to claims and variations
  • Tracking, reviewing, and approving service fee receivables and invoicing including periodic indexation
  • Provide commercial and contractual support during the Sales and Service Sales phases of projects on topics included but not limited to:

Adverse weather principles

Availability warranties

Taking Over and Ramp-Up procedures

End of Warranty Process

Risk Management

Payment requirements

Vessel Charter Party agreements

Additional services

Scope of Works

Providing contractual awareness and training to service site personnel.

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in related or similar work in Energy or Industrial sector. Wind experience recommended.
  • Bachelors / Masters in Law or Business Administration with relevant commercial experience or demonstrated contract management affinity.
  • Fluency in English, other Asian languages are a benefit.
  • Advanced MS Office skills, especially Word, Power Point and Excel. SAP experience.
  • Highly proficient in English, both oral & written.
