The Customer Project Execution Department is in charge of all wind farm projects from start to completion. The team takes responsibility for a wind farm once a contract has been signed - and remains responsible until the final tests are completed. Working closely with the logistics, procurement and finance departments, the team has to keep the project on budget and on schedule and ensures our safety and quality standards are met. It also works closely with the sales and legal departments to ensure each wind farm delivers the highest energy yield within the client's specification. The Contract Management team provide support on all contractual issues to the wider execution team.
Responsibilities
Contract Management safeguards the commercial interests of Vestas during construction.
Core responsibilities are undertaken during the construction phase of new wind farms, supporting the project team with continuous advice and recommendations in respect of commercial and contractual issues affecting the delivery of a project to safety, quality, time and budget. On individual constructions projects Contract Management provides direct contract management support to the Project Director and the Project Manager, as well as other project team members. The Contract Manager shall also ensure alignment and agreement with internal functions such as legal and finance. Typical Responsibilities are:
• Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of the construction phase of new wind farms.
• Review, present and advice and support internal stakeholders on obligations and deliverables under Turbine Supply Agreements.
• Ensure internal processes and procedures relating to the creation and storage of correspondence and records are adhered to.
• Responsible for facilitating the project risk management process, including maintaining the project risk register
• Responsible for evaluating potential claim scenarios and providing recommendations to internal stakeholders and management.
• Responsible for claims management activities and drafting formal claims related correspondence.
• Attend internal and external meetings as necessary.
• Record and communicate contractual lessons to be learnt, to contribute towards change and improvement of contracts.
• Support during the sales phase, by providing ad-hoc commercial and contractual support to Sales and Bid Management functions:
- Programming/planning principles
- Extensions of Time
- Cost Compensation
- Adverse Weather principles
- Taking Over Procedures
- Schedule of Rates, Delay Day Rates
- Payment requirements
Qualifications
Background in Law, Construction, Quantity Survey or Engineering with significant involvement in and understanding of contracts and the issues arising from them.
• Negotiation tactics and planning
• Thorough understanding of risk management principles and procedures.

• Ability to effectively manage internal stakeholders.
