The Contracts Management team works closely with the Construction, Legal and Procurement teams, as well as with other relevant stakeholders, including the Client/Principal and Subcontractors, to preserve the commercial interest of the Company while ensuring contractual compliance. The Department is responsible for developing and implementing procedures and templates for effective contract management based on Company policies while also contributing to or influencing said policies.

 

Responsibilities

  • You will support the Construction department with enthusiastic and ongoing advice and recommendations in relation to commercial and contractual issues affecting the delivery of projects to meet the required safety, quality, time and budget standards.
  • Contract administration
  • Contractual cost management
  • Identification and management of key contractual deliverables
  • Facilitate the contract-related correspondences required in respect of notices, payments, extension of time claims, variations.
  • Scope management/change control
  • Risk and opportunity support

 

Qualifications

  • Graduated with a Bachelor/Master (Diploma) in law or economics or industrial and civil construction or similar is desirable, or relevant industry experience is acceptable.

 

Competencies

  • Solid contracts experience within the construction industry (civil/infrastructure, renewable energy, oil and gas - EPC/EPCM desirable) within a project environment.
  • Experience with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor is desirable but not essential.
  • Advance knowledge of MS Excel and MS word (Primavera or Microsoft Project experience would be beneficial but not mandatory).
  • High level of contractual awareness, and communication skills with great attention to detail. Ability to effectively communicate and work with different teams on Project matters.
  • Able to demonstrate commitment to safety, teamwork and the ability to build solid working relationships.
  • Knowledge in Construction/Contract Law.
  • High level of legal writing skills and ability to properly draft contractual letters.
  • Fluent English in writing and speaking is required.
